Q: Why is it called Bharometer? Is it a barometer?

No — nothing to do with weather. The name is a pun: bharo ("fill it up", from Hindi bharna — to fill) + meter. Bharometer is the meter for your fill-ups: a fuel, mileage and running-cost tracker for India. It's often mistyped as "barometer", but the app and site are Bharometer, at bharometer.com.

Q: Does it show fuel prices?

Bharometer tracks the prices you actually pay. When you log a fill-up it records your rate per litre or per kg, then shows your last-paid price and running average — so your costs are always based on real numbers, not city estimates.

Absolutely. Two-wheelers are first-class citizens, and CNG is tracked in kg with proper km-per-kg mileage. You can even set up a dual-fuel vehicle that runs on both petrol and CNG.
